Shoplifting Update

So I went to Walmart again this week and had to get some tax preparation software. Much to my surprise they now keep all of the software behind a locked window. I realize this doesn't solve the problem of shoplifting, but hopefully it's a deterrent.

Loving the Snow

Denial

It's been hard for me to admit that I have to get back to normal life now that Christmas is over and we're back home. We've been home for 2 1/2 weeks, and I'm just barely realizing this.
Before we went to Utah on vacation, we had our church Christmas party where Santa made an appearance. It took well over an hour for Santa to talk to all of the children, and this is what we got. It was somewhat expected that Addison would freak out, but that didn't prevent members of the ward from calling Dave a rookie for not having the camera ready when I placed Addison on Santa's lap. I think even Santa looks amused.

We had such a great time visiting with friends and family while in Utah over Christmas. We were able to visit with some old roommates of ours one day. I saw Jenni and Jenny, while Dave's roommates Eric and Adam were there. Adam's wife Liz was also there. She was a very good sport. Thanks for taking the time to meet up with us, everyone!

Then on Christmas Eve Dave played basketball with my sister's husband's family and his brother Scott was also able to come. Then we met up with Scott and Kristy and kids for lunch at Arctic Circle. Fancy, I know, but at this point keeping the kids busy so we could visit was a top priority.

Unfortunately I couldn't seem to keep track of our camera so I didn't get pictures of Christmas day or any of these other activities. I used Darci's camera to take pictures of Christmas morning, but she's been too busy to download them. You'd think moving to Minneapolis would keep her busy or something.

The day after Christmas we went up to my aunt and uncle's cabin in Idaho. I don't know that I've ever seen so much snow in my life. It didn't stop snowing the whole time we were there. And it was so powdery. We couldn't make snowballs if we wanted to. But we had a great time tubing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

The picture above was taken after Addie and Dave went for a ride on the tube behind the snow mobile. They had fun, but it was super cold this day. I rode along on the snow mobile with my cousin Mike. Thanks to all of the Bullards for making room for us at the cabin and taking the time to tow our cars in and out of the snow. We had a ton of fun.
The day before we came home we spent the night at Dave's brother Dan's house and were able to have dinner with his family. They are so nice to let us crash their place everytime we're in town.
We had such a great time that I haven't wanted to admit that it's over. Thanks everyone for a great Christmas break.
