I hate Elmo! I think he is so annoying. But Addison is in love with him. About 3-4 weeks ago we bought Elmo's Potty Time hoping to get Addison interested in using the potty. Then 2-3 weeks ago I bought her a training potty. She thought it was the most fun toy ever. She would stuff her teddy and baby in the bowl and then shut the lid. She had only watched Potty Time a few times until last week when she became obsessed and had to watch it daily. Then one day after watching it she said she needed to go potty. She sat there for probably about 5 minutes, but she finally did pee in the potty. I thought it was a fluke because she just drank a whole sippy cup of milk. But then a few days later she was in the bath and said she had to go potty again. She was shivering because she was wet, so it took about 5 minutes, again, to relax and then peed in the potty again! Then yesterday she peed and pooped in the potty at the same time. We're trying not to push it too much, but I'm glad that she apparently knows what the potty is for and what it feels like to need to go. Sorry if this is TMI, but I'm a proud mom. Thanks, Elmo, for getting Addison interested in the potty. Hopefully she will want to go more frequently now. Here is a picture of Addison with her potty and a sticker.

that is so awesome!!! maybe she will be totally ready in a while and you won't have diapers anymore! I wish Carter was interested but oh well! What a smart little girl!
How awesome! Maybe she will just train herself. I will have to try Elmo's video. Weston loves Elmo too and we are trying to potty train him right now, so maybe that will help out! Thanks for the info!
Oh...that is so exciting. I guess there is light at the end of the tunnel for buying diapers!
that is so exciting. her and phia are quite a pair. i wished they could live closer to each other. oh, and sophia only uses the potty once in awhile now. so sad...
That is so awesome! It sounds like she is ready...I hope we get to that point with Sydni soon! We totally should get Addison and Sydni together to play sometime...

That is so great! Aiden and Gavin love that movie... Same thing. They watch it over and over. Hey, if it works, then I guess it won't hurt, right?
Hey, there's no such thing as TMI when you're potty training your kid. It gives you license to tell anyone about your their accomplishments in the bathroom! :) Cute blog!
